Convergys Selections at Tirupati

Test date: Aug 2008
Test place:Tirupati

Hello Friends, I am Srinivas N. I have attended Convergys selection process in Tirupati. The selection had only two rounds (As everyone thinks it didn't have GD. It depends...).
  1. Written test
  2. Tech & HR
Written test had questions of three sections
  • Aptitude (20 Q's)
  • Data Structures and Flowcharts (10+10, 20 Q's)
  • Oracle (Sql and PLSql queries and DDL,DCL statements etc, 20 Q's )
Aptitude was given with simple questions of Calender,Date&Time,Blood relations etc... Don't worry guys, its easy. I hope, if you have written I-CET exam it's very easy for you, but still once you look into those basic concepts...

Next comes the technical part DS (Data Structures). Guys, you need to concentrate this area, because Convergys mostly concentrating on technical skill unlike Satyam, infosys or TCS it doesn't more stress on aptitude but on technical skills (Be careful guys).

Oracle is last section in written test. As I was from non-cse background I was totally unaware of Oracle I just kept my guessing (But don't go for guessing all the time). You can concentrate on what you know in Oracle and refresh your sql and plsql skills.

Cut-off was not known, there was no negative marking still you don't put all guesses, because they give the score by dividing the correct answers by the wrong ones... So don't be too guessing...

Technical Round was tough compared to written test. They asked java, oracle,DBMS,and some UNIX commands also. They concentrate on C, C++ also.

Few questions:
  1. What is diff b/w Structures and Classes?
  2. What do u mean by Constructors?
  3. Diff b/w Union and Structure?
  4. Given a table and asked to write the create table and give the composite key (with syntax)
These are the few amongst those. But there were so many other... I hope you find it more easy than me.
Pattern may not be same for the next Recruitment.
Anyway, if you work hard you will be the winner.
All the Best.
